Strategy First has released a playable demo of its 3D RTS game, O.R.B.. The demo "lets you jump into this game and try out 6 tutorials, 2 missions from the Malus Campaign and 1 skirmish map (playable only in multiplayer mode)."

Funcom has released another small patch for their MMORPG, Anarchy Online. This update (v14.7.2) fixes a server crash bug, as well as a few other bugs. Download the patch here (1MB).

Infogrames has released an updated demo of its popular FPS, Unreal Tournament 2003. This new demo (v1142) includes 4 maps, 4 gameplay modes, 2 mutators, and much more! Strategy First has released a new version 1.01 patch for the North American Hearts of Iron, the World War II Strategy game. This patch brings many improvements to the game, including gameplay tweaks which address game balance and historical accuracy issues; generic bug fixes such as certain CTD, text bugs, etc; AI fixes which improve how the AI handles certain situations; scenario setup and event fixes. 3000AD has released another patch for Battlecruiser Millennium, updating their space and planetary simulation to version 1.0.08 RC28. This release updates any version from RC23 onwards and adds another bunch of gameplay tweaks and bug fixes. Go here to download.

The promised update of America's Army: Operations is now available, bringing this team-based tactical shooter by the U.S. Army to version 1.4.0. Following shortly after the US patch, German developer Silver Style Entertainment has now issued a new patch to update their native language edition of Soldiers of Anarchy to version 1.1.2.178 as well. As before, this minor updates only addresses a problem where "destroying objects may have caused crash." Download the patch here.

RoundHouse Entertainment has released an updated demo of their great 3D pinball game, Attack of the Silver Ball. This new demo (v1.2) addresses "a camera bug, which is already fixed in the full version, but had not yet been detected when the demo was created." Empire Interactive has released a playable demo of Total Immersion Racing, offering the opportunity to take this modern racing simulation for a spin. It demo allows you to race two different cars in Single-Lap and Time Trial modes on the Monza and Talheimring tracks.

Activision has released a small patch for Star Trek Starfleet Command III. The patch allows the game to "properly detect later versions of DirectX and enables it to play on systems with DirectX 9 installed." Download the patch here, here or here (480KB).

Another week, another offline demo for Enigma: Rising Tide it seems, as Tesseraction Games has issued a Recruiting B demo for their upcoming massively multiplayer online naval combat game. After a leaked version we've posted about yesterday, Sierra Entertainment has now officially released a new patch for No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way, bringing Monolith's swinging sixties shooter to version 1.2. This release adds deathmatch and dedicated server support, addresses some gameplay problems, and fixes a bunch of bugs. Accompanying the patch is a new map pack with nine new DeathMatch maps that naturally requires the v1.2 patch. You can download the patch here, here, here, here, here or here (13.7MB). The map pack includes a set of new maps not included with the No One Lives Forever 2 CD-ROM and requires installation of the 1.2 Update. You can download the map pack here or here (31.7MB).

After the initial French patch that was released a little while ago, Arxel Tribe has released the English language patch for Eugen Systems' RTS, The Gladiators. The patch (v1.2) adds 17 new multiplayer maps, several new features, and correction of minor bugs as well. Go here to download the patch (5.8MB).

Monolith Productions has silently released the new v1.2 patch for No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way. According to NolfCenter this patch is final, and adds Deathmatch support, Dedicated Server support and includes an updated input code to handle both gamepad and joystick devices under DirectInput 8.1 and many bugfixes. Electronic Arts has released a beta patch for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, upgrading this recent action racing game to version 242. This release adds encryption to secure multiplayer races, force feedback improvements, and more, but it's an unofficial beta patch so your mileage may vary. Go here or here to download (1MB).

RoundHouse Entertainment has released a new demo of Attack of the Silver Ball, a pinball game unlike any other pinball game you’ve ever seen (that's what they're saying, but also what we think here at GH). The demo offers a limited version of the Mafia Madness table, as well as some info about Paladin Wing, the other table available in the full game. Download the demo here (31MB).
