GameSpot has posted the first Tekken 5 (Ps2) trailer, taken from the E3.

Symantec has acknowledged several serious bugs in several of its client security products in both corporate and consumer editions. Products affected include Symantec Client Firewall versions 5.0.0 through 5.1.1; Symantec Client Security 1.0.0, 1.1.0 and 2.0.0; Norton AntiSpam 2004; Norton Internet Security 2002 through 2004; and Norton Internet Security Professional Edition 2002 through 2004. Symantec issued fixes for all of the problems via LiveUpdate and technical-support channels. Read more here.

A vulnerability exists in hardware implementations of the IEEE 802.11 wireless protocol[1] that allows for a trivial but effective attack against the availability of wireless local area network (WLAN) devices. An attacker using a low-powered, portable device such as an electronic PDA and a commonly available wireless networking card may cause significant disruption to all WLAN traffic within range, in a manner that makes identification and localisation of the attacker difficult. Rockstar Games has launched the official GTA: San Andreas site, featuring the first three screenshots from their upcoming new GTA sequel for the Playstation 2.

Valve announced that Codename Gordon, a new side scrolling adventure through the Half-Life universe, will be coming soon to all Steam customers. Read more here.

You can download the new "Vulnerability in Help and Support Center Could Allow Remote Code Execution" patch here. Microsoft has rated the patch as important, while antivirus software maker Symantec, characterized the vulnerability as "high risk," citing the impact that there could be if the vulnerability was successfully exploited.

The Sims 2 Website now offers downloads of the Sims 2 Body Shop as well as a starter pack of content that is required for its operation. With this tool you can create your own unique Sim character. Go here to download.

Sony has announced the official specs of their upcoming PSP handheld video game system.

The PSP is scheduled to be launched in Japan in the end of 2004, followed by the North American and European launches in the spring of 2005. Read more here.

A bit earlier than expected, Nintendo has unveiled the first specs from their upcoming double screen handheld game unit, the Nintendo DS (Double Screen).

The DS has slightly more processing power than the Nintendo 64 console released in 1996. Read more here.

Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios have announced the official release date of Halo 2 is scheduled for November 9 2004.

Blizzard has issued the v1.15 patches for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne and Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. As usual previous replays and game saves are not compatible with this new release. You can go here or here to download.

An unofficial fan-created patch for Wizardry 8, has been released. The patch adressess a specific OpenGL problem. Needless to say the patch is unsupported! Go here to download.
