Valve Software has finally released some new screenshots from their upcoming first-person shooter sequel.

WinHex is a hex editor, disk editor, and RAM editor with a lot of features, such as template editing, drive cloning and imaging, encryption. It allows to concatenate, split, unify, analyze, convert, and compare files. Flexible search and replace functions are included, also a data interpreter and a sophisticated undo and backup mechanism. The disk editor supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, and CDFS drives as well as physical disks. The RAM editor can prove particularly useful for debugging purposes. You can go here to download.

Security researchers have discovered a serious boundary error vulnerability in multiple versions of Microsoft's Windows platform and warned that attackers could hijack systems via Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer (IE). The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error, which can be triggered via Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer when connecting to a file server. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by setting up a malicious share with an overly long name (about 300 bytes) containing no lower case characters. Read more here.
