the two hours of tape recordings we made, I selected the following
species either because they can be target species or because you'll
often hear them without seeing them (like Asian Koel). Of course this is just
a small selection of what you'll hear there.

for details. Many of the recordings on this splendid CD-ROM are from
West Malaysia.
The
sound files below are in mp3 format. In case your computer does not play these
automatically, you may need to download a music
program like MusicMatch (free at www.musicmatch.com).
The mp3 compression format is widely used, and these mp3 files are often
one tenth the size of the original Windows wav file.
Downloading
of these songs to your own pc for later use can be done as follows:
right-hand click on the name below and choose for Save as... If you
cannot choose for downloading as mp3 format now, just choose whatever
extension (e.g. html) and later rename the extension into mp3 (in File
Explorer).
